Capoeira (pronounced 'cap-oh-ay-rah') is a Brazilian art form with African roots. It blends martial art, dance, playfulness, improvisation, music, and song together into a mesmerizing and engaging art unlike any other. It began in colonial era Brazil and has spread across the whole world in the last 20 years. Want to know more? Want to see it in action? Want to try it out yourself? Come join Eric Johnson and Gingarte Capoeira Vermont on First Friday (October 2nd) in WRJ at Open Door for a Capoeira Workshop. We will have refreshments, music, discussion, and a free capoeira class and demonstration. Vamos jogar! (Let's play!)
